Bio
Danielle Simms focuses her practice on complex civil litigation, data protection and cybersecurity matters and government investigations. Ms. Simms has represented clients in civil cases at all phases of litigation, including pretrial motions, pleadings and trials. She has experience counseling on a variety of matters, including disputes related to data privacy, antitrust and common law claims.
Among others, Ms. Simms’ representations include:
- a financial institution in a multifaceted regulatory investigation conducted by the Securities and Exchange Commission concerning data privacy and cybersecurity issues
- a large technology company in complying with trust and safety, data privacy and antitrust laws that would impact its business
- a financial institution in responding to purported class actions alleging violations of statutory and common laws in the wake of a cyber incident
- a travel technology company in defending against claims of unlawful monopolization and unreasonable restraints on trade
Prior to joining Skadden, Ms. Simms worked as a process engineer for a multinational consumer goods company.
