Gretchen Wolf represents a wide variety of clients in complex regulatory investigations, enforcement matters and civil litigation. She has extensive experience managing multijurisdictional and cross-border matters with investigation and litigation components and frequently assists clients in navigating related discovery issues.

Bio

Ms. Wolf has represented corporations and individuals in many regulatory and government enforcement investigation matters, including enforcement matters before the DOJ, SEC, CFTC and state attorneys general. She has assisted boards and audit committees in conducting internal investigations of potential accounting irregularities, improper business practices and corporate governance issues. She also has experience advising on cross-border investigations, and has counseled clients on transaction due diligence, compliance matters and employee training, particularly related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Additionally, she counsels clients on a variety of ESG-related issues and matters involving the adoption of AI technology, including litigation risks and implications in discovery and government investigations.

Ms. Wolf has represented companies and their officers and directors in a variety of litigation and class actions, including cases involving issues of complex accounting, antitrust, securities, consumer fraud, privacy, corporate transactions, product liability and other commercial matters.

Her representative clients include CME Group, JPMorgan Chase & Co., CF Industries and Purdue Pharma, L.P., among others.

Ms. Wolf serves on the advisory selection committee of the Skadden Fellowship Program. Previously, she was chair of Skadden’s global Electronic Discovery (e-Discovery) Committee and led the firm’s efforts in developing manuals and training presentations regarding e-discovery best practices. Ms. Wolf also served as co-chair of the firm’s Global Women’s Initiatives Committee.

Ms. Wolf has represented pro bono clients in a variety of immigration matters. She also serves on the board of directors for the National Immigrant Justice Center, the Chicago Foundation for Women and the Iowa Law School Foundation.

In recognition of her work, Ms. Wolf has been named one of Chicago Daily Law Bulletin’s Top 50 Women in Law and honored by Crain’s Chicago Business as one of its Notable Gen X Leaders in Law and Notable Women in Law. She also has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America for her work in white collar and regulatory enforcement litigation and recognized as one of Lawdragon’s 500 Leading Litigators in America.
