Aaron McPherson

Aaron McPherson advises private capital businesses on their formation and operations and in relation to all types of LP-led and GP-led secondary transactions and liquidity solutions in Europe, the U.S. and Asia. He has extensive experience counseling on continuation funds (single-asset and multi-asset deals) and preferred equity transactions.

Prior to joining Skadden, Mr. McPherson represented:

• Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) in the sale of its investment in Belron, a worldwide leader in vehicle glass repair and replacement, which valued the company at €21 billion and included the formation of a new special purpose vehicle to continue CD&R’s partnership with Belron. This transaction was named Secondaries Deal of the Year by Buyouts magazine
• HarbourVest Partners as co-lead investor in a €1.63 billion multi-asset continuation fund sponsored by Triton to acquire four existing portfolio companies from Triton Fund IV
• CPP Investment Board:
  • in a $1.8 billion complex preferred equity transaction in relation to a portfolio of LP interests in the energy sector
  • as an investor in a $500 million single-asset continuation fund sponsored by GHO Capital Partners to acquire GHO’s portfolio company Validant, a leading international life sciences consulting firm
• LGT Capital Partners as co-lead investor in an £840 million continuation fund sponsored by Pollen Street Capital to acquire existing stakes in insurance and tech assets
• a secondaries investor as the lead investor in a $740 million fund of funds to acquire a portfolio of LP interests and provide additional capital for new investments
• Pantheon as the sole lead investor in a £551 million multi-asset infrastructure continuation fund sponsored by Ancala Partners to acquire three infrastructure assets from Ancala Infrastructure Fund I
• Adams Street Partners as a member of a syndicate that invested in a €500 million multi-asset continuation fund sponsored by G Square Healthcare Private Equity LLP to acquire three existing assets from G Square Capital I and G Square Capital II
• Goldman Sachs and Pantheon as co-lead investors in a $350 million single-asset continuation fund sponsored by Nordic Capital to acquire, alongside its Nordic’s flagship fund, its existing portfolio company Vizrt, a global leader in live video production software
• a U.K. private equity sponsor in a single-asset continuation fund to house an existing stake in a leasing business
• Pantheon in its indirect investment in Zenobe Energy Limited, a U.K. green energy infrastructure firm
• LCM Partners in the formation of Credit Opportunities 4 Strategy, a €4.1 billion private credit fund
• All Seas Capital in the formation of All Seas Capital I, a $400 million debut pan-European private fund
