Steven Marcus
Bio
Steven Marcus focuses on complex and high-stakes appeals throughout the country.
Mr. Marcus has served as a law clerk at all three levels of the federal judiciary. Most recently, he served as a law clerk to Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor. Before his Supreme Court clerkship, Mr. Marcus clerked for Judge Harry T. Edwards of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and Judge Jesse M. Furman of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Before joining Skadden, Mr. Marcus worked as an attorney in the Special Litigation Division of the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. During that time, he argued before the D.C. Circuit, served as lead counsel in complex class actions in the federal courts, and represented adults in serious felony cases before the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
