Daniel Luks is a corporate attorney who advises public and private companies, as well as private equity sponsors, on mergers, acquisitions, corporate governance, dispositions, securities offerings and other corporate matters.
Bio
Mr. Luks has represented a diverse range of clients across industries in deals such as:
- Capgemini in its acquisition of Syniti
- Krispy Kreme in its sale of its majority ownership stake of Insomnia Cookies
- Squarespace, Inc. in its $7.2 billion going-private acquisition by Permira Advisers
- the special committee of the board of directors of Taro Pharmaceuticals in the $1.6 billion acquisition of Taro by Sun Pharma
- Caribou Coffee in its transaction to license its brand in the consumer packaged goods and food service channels to JDE Peet’s
- Keurig Dr Pepper in a variety of transactions, including its acquisitions of Core brands, its $863 million investment in Nutrabolt and several of its partnership ventures, including for the Athletic Brewing, Tractor Beverage and Vita Coco brands
- National Veterinary Associates in its $1.1 billion acquisition of SAGE Veterinary Centers from Chicago Pacific Founders; $1.65 billion acquisition of Ethos Veterinary Health from BBH Capital Partners (including its subsequent hospital divestitures to Nordic Capital-sponsored United Veterinary Care and Percheron Capital-sponsored Veritas Veterinary Partners); and sale of VetPartners, its Australian and New Zealand veterinary and animal health services business, to EQT Group
- Independence Pet Group in its $1.5 billion acquisition of Embrace Pet Insurance Agency, LLC; $1.4 billion acquisition of Crum & Forster Pet Insurance Group and Pethealth Inc. from Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited; acquisition of a controlling ownership interest in Pumpkin Insurance Services Inc. from Zoetis Inc.; and acquisition of and FIGO Pet Insurance LLC

- Coty Inc. in its receipt of a $750 million strategic investment by KKR
- Visa Inc in its proposed (but terminated) $5.3 billion acquisition of Plaid Inc.
- New Residential Investment Corp. in its acquisition of Caliber Home Loans, Inc.
- SDC Capital Partners, LLC in its acquisition of a majority stake in ALLO Communications
- Triumph Group Inc. in its sale of operations and assets relating to its Global 7500 wing manufacturing program to Bombardier
