Weite (Wendy) Li

Wendy Li focuses her practice on advising fund managers and investors on private investment fund structuring, formation and marketing, as well as counseling financial institutions, including asset managers and financial sponsors, on their regulatory obligations and compliance arrangements.

Ms. Li’s relevant experience includes advising:

• a large sovereign wealth fund on a variety of matters, including on a number of private fund investments, such as separately managed account and private equity real estate funds
• Citi Global Alternatives, LLC on the formation of feeder funds and related platform arrangements to invest in private equity funds in the U.S. and Europe
• BlackRock on its acquisition of Kreos Capital, a leading provider of growth and venture debt financing in Europe and Israel
• Convera on its US$910 million acquisition of Western Union Business Solutions
• financial sponsor clients on the preparation and implementation of specific policies and procedures to comply with U.K. and EU sustainability and ESG-related rules (including the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation)

Ms. Li is actively involved in pro bono projects, including working with a clinic that assists social housing tenants in eviction, disrepairs and other housing challenges. She sits on the Steering Committee of Skadden’s London-based China desk.
