Jacob G. Lefkowitz

Jacob Lefkowitz represents both plaintiffs and defendants in a broad range of litigations
and arbitrations, including claims for breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty
and conspiracy. He also has experience representing clients in securities and bankruptcy
litigation.
Bio
Mr. Lefkowitz’s representations have included:
- A. Schulman, Inc. in a seven-day trial in the Delaware Court of Chancery involving fraud, contract and fiduciary duty claims against former owners and officers of Citadel Plastic Holdings, Inc. and Lucent Polymers, Inc. The case was successfully settled after trial
- Noble Corp. in securing approvals of two settlements in U.S. Bankruptcy Court, ending a $2.7 billion fraudulent transfer claim
- NextEra Energy Inc. in its international arbitration victory over the Kingdom of Spain for €290 million in damages, the largest such award ever granted in the numerous such actions brought against Spain
Other representative clients have included Endo Pharmaceuticals Inc., Brightline Holdings LLC and Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, among others.
In recognition of his work, he was named one of Best Lawyers’ Ones To Watch in America.
