Mr. Kaplan's work encompasses a wide range of industries including defense, energy, finance, retail and fashion.
He has represented clients such as DRS Technologies, Inc. in its acquisition by Finmeccanica S.p.A.; 390 West End Associates LLC in its sale of the Apthorp apartment building in Manhattan; Energy Answers Corporation in the sale of its subsidiary, EAC Operations, Inc., to Covanta Holding Corporation; and Pantone, Inc. in its acquisition by X-Rite Incorporated.
Before joining Skadden, Mr. Kaplan spent two years serving as president and chief operating officer of Engelhard Minerals & Chemicals Corporation and seven years as president and chief executive officer of Drexel Burnham Lambert Inc.
