John Battaglia’s practice focuses on tax-qualified pension, retirement plan and health and welfare plan matters in connection with mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions.
Bio
Mr. Battaglia has over 25 years of experience advising public and private companies and private equity firms on employee benefit transition and integration issues that arise in the context of various types of corporate transactions. He regularly counsels clients with respect to the establishment, maintenance and termination of 401(k) retirement plans, plan governance issues and correction of plan operational errors. Additionally, Mr. Battaglia advises clients on issues related to Affordable Care Act compliance, COBRA continuation coverage, multiple employer welfare arrangements (MEWA) and ERISA reporting and disclosure requirements.
Prior to joining Skadden, Mr. Battaglia was counsel at another international law firm.
