The Export Control Reform Act, which was signed into law earlier this year, is part of a concerted effort to curtail the transfer of sensitive U.S. technologies, particularly to China. The law tightens export controls on certain technologies, increases scrutiny of export license applications and expands jurisdiction over U.S. persons providing foreign defense intelligence services.
