On November 4-5, West Coast executive compensation and benefits head Page Griffin and global tax co-head Emily Lam spoke at the 40th annual TEI-SJSU High Tech Tax Institute in Palo Alto. Mr. Griffin participated in the breakout session “The Latest and Greatest in Equity Compensation,” which discussed best practices for repricings and exchanges, navigating equity award design and related tax implications, and understanding the implications of SEC regulations on Dodd-Frank clawbacks and spring-loading. Ms. Lam spoke on the panel “Federal Tax Controversy — Year 2 of the Strategic Operating Plan,” which focused on significant updates related to the IRS’ strategic operating plan and the impact of IRA funds.
