On May 13-14, Skadden’s Washington, D.C. office hosted our 25th annual Energy and Infrastructure Projects Conference. The program focused on recent opportunities and challenges in the financing, development, acquisition and disposition of energy and infrastructure projects. The event’s panels explored M&A trends, tax equity and credit monetization, considerations for debt financing and energy transmission. Skadden speakers included partners David Armstrong, Drew Baldinger, Lance Brasher, Julia Czarniak, Paul Kraske, Aryan Moniri, Nike Opadiran, Paul Schockett and Sean Shimamoto. Congressman Sean Casten delivered the conference keynote address. Other speakers included executives from Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, HPS Partners and Pattern Energy, as well as representatives from other energy and financial services companies.
The conference was preceded by a dinner and briefing that focused on energy trial litigation, cybersecurity and data privacy, and tax policy. Skadden speakers at the pre-conference briefing included partners Michael Leiter, Jennifer Permesly, Michelle Scheffler and David Simon and associate Nadiya Beckwith-Stanley. The briefing keynote was a fireside-style discussion between Paul Kraske and Pattern Energy CEO Hunter Armistead.
