On March 3, Washington, D.C. SEC reporting and compliance co-head and U.S. ESG head Raquel Fox participated in the panel “The Climate Change Challenge — How To Navigate Competing ESG Issues Surrounding Climate” during the Cambridge Forum for ESG Legal Leaders. The panelists discussed how to navigate the evolving landscape of climate-related matters, including net zero and climate justice, the carbon offset dilemma, a “just transition” in the supply chain, communications challenges and lessons learned from consumer protection and public nuisance litigation, the SEC’s proposed rules on climate change and the FTC’s updated green guides.
