AI Governance: Views From the UK’s GCHQ and Ireland’s Data Protection Commission on the Balance Between Security and Data Privacy

On November 14, Skadden’s London office hosted the program “AI Governance: Views From the U.K.’s GCHQ and Ireland’s Data Protection Commission on the Balance Between Security and Data Privacy.” Cybersecurity and data privacy co-head David Simon and London intellectual property and technology counsel Eve-Christie Vermynck co-moderated the discussion. External speakers included the director of legal affairs and international relations at GCHQ and the deputy commissioner for data protection at Ireland’s Data Protection Commission.
