Stanford University 28th Annual Directors’ College

On June 26-28, Palo Alto litigation head Jack DiCanio and corporate partner Sonia Nijjar spoke at Stanford University’s 28th annual Directors’ College. Mr. DiCanio participated in the breakout session “Defend Your Company, Defend Yourself: Private Litigation and Government Investigations,” which explored a series of litigation issues that can threaten corporations, directors and senior executives. Ms. Nijjar spoke during the “Mergers and Acquisitions” breakout session, which focused on best practices in board engagement with M&A strategy and implementation, director fiduciary responsibilities in M&A transactions, implications of shareholder activism and building a record to withstand inevitable litigation scrutiny.
