On March 30, Skadden hosted a discussion on recent developments impacting corporate compliance programs. Skadden speakers included Washington, D.C. litigation head Jennifer Bragg and partners Avia Dunn and John Kocoras, who examined current corporate integrity agreement trends and statistics, the Department of Justice’s (DOJ’s) increased oversight of corporate compliance programs and other significant enforcement developments. Other topics included forward-looking compliance provisions in recent DOJ resolutions; the anticipated role of the Corporate Enforcement, Compliance & Policy Unit within the DOJ’s Consumer Protection Branch; increased expectations and heightened exposure of chief compliance officers; and practical takeaways from the DOJ’s revised Corporate Enforcement Policy and the U.S. Attorneys’ Offices’ Voluntary Self-Disclosure Policy.
