On April 15, Skadden’s Global Women’s Initiatives Committee hosted a webinar titled “SPAC Directorships as an Entrée for Women to Public Company Board Service.” The panel of leaders in SPAC transactions provided perspectives on the role of SPAC independent directors, strategies for getting on a SPAC board and the questions you should ask before agreeing to serve on one. Ann Beth Stebbins, M&A partner at Skadden, moderated the panel, which included Suzanne Correy, corporate and Latin America partner at Maples Group; Michelle Gasaway, capital markets partner at Skadden; Stacia Schlosser Ryan, CEO at PWP Forward Acquisition Corp. I (PFAC); and Susan Sutherland, independent director at Kairos Acquisition Corp. and retired Skadden partner.
