On April 28, Washington, D.C. political law head Ki Hong, partner Ken Gross, counsel Melissa Miles and senior political compliance analyst Brien Bonneville presented “PAC Compliance and Corporate Political Contributions,” the first in a three-part Political Law Series. The program reviewed the components of a successful campaign finance compliance program. Panelists discussed the administration and operation of a political action committee (PAC), including establishing criteria for making contributions, developing bylaws, using a federal PAC at the state level, investing PAC funds and related tax implications, and best practices for solicitations and matching incentives. The webinar also focused on best practices for making corporate contributions.
