When Insolvency Meets Arbitration: Addressing Disputes in the Context of Corporate Restructurings

On February 25, corporate restructuring partners Shana Elberg and Joseph Larkin and international litigation and arbitration partner Jennifer Permesly presented a webinar titled “When Insolvency Meets Arbitration: Addressing Disputes in the Context of Corporate Restructurings.” They examined the impact that the initiation of an insolvency proceeding may have on ongoing or pending arbitrations, including the state of U.S. law on this subject and the practical implications of seeking to move forward with arbitration where insolvency proceedings have been initiated, as well as how the approach may differ in cross-border or non-U.S. proceedings.
