On January 28, international litigation and arbitration partners Julie Bédard, Lea Haber Kuck, Timothy G. Nelson and Jennifer Permesly and counsel Betsy A. Hellmann presented a webinar titled “Key Developments in U.S. and International Arbitration in 2020.” The panelists reviewed significant developments in U.S. and international arbitration that occurred in 2020. Topics included recent U.S. Supreme Court cases concerning who decides “arbitrability” and whether the federal statute authorizing U.S. courts to assist with discovery in overseas disputes applies to private arbitrations. The speakers also analyzed developments in New York state law and investor-state matters and updates from the International Chamber of Commerce and International Bar Association.
