On November 16, Skadden presented a webinar titled “Election 2020: Energy and Environmental Policy Under the Biden Administration.” Skadden panelists Lance Brasher, Julia Czarniak, John Estes, Jeffrey Gerrish, Sean Shimamoto and Elizabeth Malone analyzed how the new administration’s policies might impact the energy sector. Panelists reviewed nonlegislative measures that may be pursued in the electricity and oil and gas sectors; possible efforts to address greenhouse gas emissions in transportation; expectations regarding energy tax initiatives; potential FERC action in support of energy transition; and CFIUS, trade and national security policies to anticipate.
