Julie Bédard, head of our International Arbitration Group for the Americas, spoke at the International Bar Association’s Annual Conference in Rome on October 7-12. Ms. Bédard participated in a panel discussion titled “Arbitration and Bribery,” which focused on issues surrounding corruption allegations during an arbitration and the challenges of arbitral proceedings concurrent with ongoing criminal investigations of alleged bribery.
