Mr. O’Gara was previously a partner at another global law firm in the corporate tax practice, where he focused on U.K. and international tax planning and defense matters for multinational groups and private equity investors. He will also lead Skadden’s Tax Controversy Group in London.
Mr. O’Gara has significant experience advising on strategic tax matters relating to intellectual property, cross-border financing, transfer pricing and supply chain restructuring, as well as M&A and joint ventures. He regularly defends multinational clients in high-stakes audits and disputes involving HM Revenue & Customs and other tax authorities and is a sought-after adviser across a wide range of sectors, including financial services, digital services and technology, consumer goods, health care and pharmaceuticals.
