An article published by the New York Law Journal featured new Skadden partner Maria Cruz Melendez, who has joined our New York Government Enforcement and White Collar Crime Group in New York (“Skadden Lands EDNY Prosecutor From R. Kelly Trial”). The article noted Ms. Cruz Melendez’s work on a number of notable cases at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, where she served as a federal prosecutor since in 2012, following six years as a Skadden associate.
