Skadden represented Jeffery Chow, a former senior member of the legal department of Keppel Offshore and Marine Ltd., in a case in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York concerning alleged violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. On November 15, the court sentenced Mr. Chow to one year of probation and ordered him to pay a $75,000 fine. The federal sentencing guidelines recommended a 60-month term of incarceration, which was the statutory maximum penalty for Mr. Chow’s offense.
