NY Law Schools Win Second Circuit’s Affirmance of Dismissal

On April 25, Skadden achieved a victory in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on behalf of five New York law schools — Cardozo, Columbia, Fordham, NYU and St. John’s. The Second Circuit affirmed the dismissal of a complaint alleging that, in violation of federal antitrust and racketeering laws, the five law schools had conspired with five other law schools and with bar examination preparation course provider Barbri, Inc. to put the plaintiff — another bar examination preparation course provider — out of business.
