On behalf of E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company, Skadden reached a proposed settlement agreement with the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice that will permit DuPont to proceed with its $130 billion merger with The Dow Chemical Company. Skadden also has secured approval for the merger from the European Commission, MOFCOM (China's Ministry of Commerce) and several other jurisdictions.
