We secured the dismissal of a shareholder class action against Sempra Energy's CEO arising from a 2015 natural gas leak at a well located within subsidiary SoCalGas' Aliso Canyon underground storage facility, and the disclosures of Sempra and its subsidiary before and after the leak. On June 21, Judge Roger Benitez of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California determined that the complaint failed to allege particularized facts establishing either that the defendants made material false or misleading statements or a strong inference that they acted with scienter.
