On November 21, Skadden secured a victory on behalf of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, National Basketball Association, National Football League, National Hockey League and Office of the Commissioner of Baseball in their suit against New Jersey. The district court issued a permanent injunction that prevents gambling on the sports organizations’ athletic events, which the leagues argued violated the federal Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act.
