Skadden secured a victory in favor of Moscow-based Pleiades Publishing, Inc. in a case against Springer Science & Business Media LLC, the worldwide exclusive distributor of Pleiades' Russian Library of Science. On May 29, the Appellate Division of the New York Supreme Court, First Judicial Department affirmed the trial court's denial of Springer's motion to dismiss Pleiades' cause of action for breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing.
