Skadden received “M&A Team of the Year” honors for Europe and the Americas at IFLR’s annual award ceremonies in London and New York on March 23 and 29, respectively. The firm also received “M&A Deal of the Year” awards at each ceremony, including for our work on behalf of Colfax Corporation in its $2.4 billion acquisition of Charter International (Europe) and EMC Corporation as part of a consortium in their $4.5 billion acquisition of a patent portfolio from Nortel Networks Corporation (Americas).
Also on March 29, Skadden received Latin Lawyer’s “Outbound Investment Deal of the Year” award for our representation of Cementos Argos S.A. (Colombia) in its $760 million acquisition of the southeastern U.S. cement and ready-mix businesses of France’s Lafarge S.A.
