Symmetry Medical Settles SEC Claims

Skadden represented Symmetry Medical Inc.’s Audit Committee in an internal investigation of alleged accounting irregularities at the company’s operating unit in Sheffield, U.K., which were discovered in 2007 and self-reported to the SEC. Skadden subsequently represented the company in its January 30 settlement with the SEC. Skadden was able to achieve a settlement with no fraud charge against the company; nor was any civil penalty or other financial obligation imposed on Symmetry.
