Skadden is representing European private equity fund Permira in its acquisition of Kingsbridge Limited, the holding company of Asia Broadcast Satellite Ltd. (ABS), from Citigroup Venture Capital International. The deal was announced on Sept. 13, 2010. The acquisition is entirely equity funded and will allow the Permira funds to become the majority shareholder of ABS, which supplies bandwidth connectivity to broadcasting and telecom customers in 30 countries. The purchase price was undisclosed.
