Fin Fogg Named Legal Aid Society President

Skadden of counsel Fin Fogg will become the Legal Aid Society of New York's 28th president effective July 1, the organization announced.  Mr. Fogg will remain of counsel at Skadden throughout his presidency.  The Legal Aid Society is the premier provider of legal services to those in the New York City area who cannot afford to pay a lawyer.  The organization employs more than 850 lawyers and a staff of social workers, investigators, legal assistants, and support and administration staff, who work together to handle nearly 300,000 cases and matters each year.  Their work concentrates in three principal areas: civil, criminal and juvenile rights, and the Legal Aid Society works closely with the city's major law firms on pro bono matters.  Through the years, Skadden and its attorneys have been major supporters of the Legal Aid Society.
