Applera Sells Outstanding Shares of Applied Biosystems Group

Skadden is representing Applera Corporation, a health care and life sciences company, in the $6.7 billion sale of the outstanding shares of its Applied Biosystems Group, a developer of life sciences research equipment, to Invitrogen Corporation, a developer of biotechnology research equipment.
