Skadden opened an office in São Paulo, Brazil, its 24th office worldwide and its first in Latin America. The São Paulo office provides the firm with a strong local platform to represent Brazilian and global companies and financial firms in one of the most dynamic regions of the world. Skadden's Latin American practice has grown significantly in recent years, across a wide range of industries, in areas such as M&A, corporate finance, private equity, banking, project finance, restructuring and arbitration.
Jonathan D. Bisgaier, a corporate partner who is fluent in Portuguese, is the resident head of the São Paulo office, working with Paul T. Schnell, the head of the firm’s Latin America practice, based in New York and corporate partner, Alejandro Radzyminski.
